Lead VOCALS
sandee Norris
Born and raised in the burbs of Chicago and currently residing in Plainfield IL. Sandee has been singing since childhood, as it has always been her joy and passion. Her influences in earlier years were Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Toni Braxton, Pat Benatar, Heart and Donna Summer etc., as well as many other powerhouse singers.
However, throughout the years she discovered other genres, as she was told she had a voice for “country”, so she started listening to the powerhouse women of country music and instantly became a country fan and singer. Her main influences in country are, Trisha Yearwood, Martina McBride, Reba, Shania Twain, Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Gretchen Wilson Faith Hill, Sarah Evan’s and more.
For over 20 years Sandee sang in a trio/duo called “Take 3” with her husband. They performed all around and covered many genres of music. Her country flare earned her the opportunities to open for various country artists at the Rialto Square theater including Kenny Chesney, Trace Adkins and Trisha Yearwood. She has also taken some time throughout the years to record in various studios. One that she is most proud of was when she worked with Gary Loizzo, who was most known for recording all of Styx, great albums.
She was also determined to try out for numerous local and national talent contests, along with moving through the various audition stages for shows such as, Rialto Idol, America’s Got Talent, Nashville Star, The X-Factor, You can Duet and The Voice! When “Take 3” ended, she started to look for a band to join. After a few auditions, she joined her first band, Heads Up in 2019 through early 2022. In the later part of 2022, she joined and helped create her current band Bottomz Up! Sandee’s says, “being the lead vocalist of Bottomz Up is
something I’m very proud of and I’m thrilled to share the stage with such talented musicians”. Bottomz Up took off with boots on the ground running from the start and she loves having such artistic freedom to sing and play music from all her influences throughout the years.
When she steps on the stage her goal is to share the emotions found in every word and note that song has to offer. If she can take her audience back a special moment, feeling or just help them have a fun ass night out, then she knows she’s done her job!
